Using the "Assistant for new virtual machine" within Fusion and selecting "Use an existing virtual disk" I've seemingly recreated the virtual machine from the Mini onto the Macbook and it's recognised in the opening window of Fusion when it's launched. vmx file which I've deleted (following the pdf "Migrating a Windows PC to Run in VMware Fusion"). ![]() ![]() The file is sitting in the main window of that disk. I manually copied that to the hard disk of the macbook pro. So after reading support stuff on this site I used VMware Converter on my Windows XP virtual machine (Fusion v2.0.1) which produced a single. VMware Fusion was successfully migrated but not the virtual machine. ![]() Have migrated all content of a mac mini to a new macbook pro using the Apple migration assistant.
